Our first Steel Nutcracker became a best-seller and we had have a tremendous demand for that product. Now, we've re-designed the nutcracker to be even more effective at the perfect crack every time. We introduce the Steel Nutcracker ][ !! All the same great features of the first edition but with improvements!
New to the Steel Nutcracker ][ design is the double nut grippers. On older models or on other nutcrackers, nuts are placed for cracking and one nut gripper is suppose to hold the nut in place. This method can cause nut slippage and wasted time. The Steel Nutcracker ][ features both an "upper" and "lower" nut gripper so that the nut stays in place-- no slippage! Perfectly cracked nut every time!
How many times have I used the diagonal pliers and nut picks to get out the tiniest and most aggravating pieces if nutmeat? GRRR! That's ended now because this simple nut cracker can re-crack those stubborn little pieces.
English Walnut Cracker
Of course most black walnut crackers can handle English walnuts- if you like shattered nutmeat! With gentle control, you can now have those precious butterfly pieces.
Macadamia Nut Cracker
I've seen some crazy devices to crack macadamias. Twist, twist, twist! How aggravating! Now you can have whole macadamias in record time and less than half the effort.
Brazil (Brazilian) Nut Cracker
My wife loves Brazil nuts. What my wife wants, she gets! Now she gets whole Brazil nuts. I'm a happier man for it.

Black Walnut Solution
We have been looking for a simple black walnut cracker that wasn't too expensive and we got more than what we paid for with this cracker. It easily cracks black walnuts and for such a great price. We highly recommend this cracker. We've ordered more for gifts.

Way better than a hammer.
Lot better than a hammer. With a little practice you can crack the hull just enough to get whole kernel without crushing them. The handle needs to be a bit longer. That would make it easier to make the initial break of the walnut. Have cracked about 3 pints of walnuts so far.

This nutcracker is FANTASTIC. It takes a bit to get the hang...
I've been cracking black walnuts since before I was old enough to go to school (read, more than 50 years)....usually with a hammer, occasionally with a large bench vise. This nutcracker is FANTASTIC. It takes a bit to get the hang of it (ladies, do NOT lean your weight into it...I got a hard to explain bruise in the middle of my chest...LOL), but this thing produces THE biggest black walnut pieces I've ever gotten. DO wrap a towel over it, to keep the shards from flying everywhere, but it's great. Crack a bunch, put in a bucket, take a break and sort thru the pieces.
